I cannot tell you how many tears have been shed in the closet shown pictured above. Feeling as if the livelihood, development, and success of my family were dependent upon my actions and feeling as if I was coming up short. While the responsibilities of motherhood are far greater than words could describe, covering our household in prayer has to be at the top of the list. There is nothing like seeing private and secret prayers prayed or cried out before the Lord becoming real in moments where you least expected. At times it feels as if we are carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders. Then, there are those ah-ha moments where we remember that the load is much lighter because there is Someone working things out for our good behind the scenes. These are the moments that we remember, we are not in this battle alone.
God has and is giving the blueprint for our family. He has provided instruction as to how we are to cover, raise, and govern THIS family, THIS child, THIS marriage, THIS heart, THIS mind..and truthfully, we will not receive clear instruction without an intimate relationship with Christ. So, intentionality is key. It is essential. If we want to put a stop to generational curses and unhealed behaviors, let's start being intentional as to how we cover and raise our children. Let's be intentional with how we maintain our thoughts and carry out our responses. It starts with us.
